Te Araroa, Day 3

Today, it is the beach again.

It’s about 30 kilometers.

I’ll be leaving at 7:15. Every two hours, I take a break of about 25 minutes.

I’m just walking on the beach, there’s no change of scenery.

I’m feeling dizzy, it’s tough. It’s windy, with a little rain in between.

I reach the camp at about 14:00.

X has just arrived too.

There’s a cabin available to rent. We decide to share it. It’s luxurious, which means no setting up of a tent and an early start the next morning.

Plus, there are hot showers! What a treat.

In the evening, we get to see the horses. There are wild horses in this area and they show up at the camp. It’s incredibly beautiful. Then, another early and deep sleep is waiting for me.
