Feb. 09, 2024, Otira Hotel, zero day
I have not slept well these past few nights. So, when this morning, after the alarm goes off, X asks if we can stay one more day, I'm perfectly fine with that. Still, I have to get up to try to extend our stay.
Right now, all accommodations around here are fully booked because of the 3-day coast-to-coast race, involving running, biking, and canoeing.
The people at the hotel need some time to figure out if they have a room. Meanwhile, I eat an apple pie with cream and vanilla ice cream for breakfast.
In the end, they are surprised themselves when they realize they have one room available. We have to move our stuff but could stay. This day is just about resting, sleeping, using the massage chair, eating, writing for the blog, and planning.
Bathroom of the new room:
Some of the millions of stuff at the hotel. The parrot in the cage next to the cowboy is real and alive.
