Te Araroa, Day 123

March 6, 2024, Camp Taringatura to Winton, 18,88 km, km 2515,02, 3:55 hrs

The night was cold but with all my warm clothing and the blankets it was OK. When X sees me that cold this morning he throws the heater on too.

We leave just after sunrise. The next town before Invercargill where we can get accommodation is Winton. The 18.9 km to get there is manageable. First, we walk on the rural road back to the junction where Jenny picked us up yesterday. Then, we backtrack the 2 km to the highway, and the rest is just following the highway to Winton.

My feet hurt, but it's manageable. We check into a nice motel in Winton and then do some food shopping. The temperatures are good today again. I feel much better.
