Lapplandsleden, Arrival

After taking a break from thru-hiking for about a month, I am now on my way to Lapland, Sweden. In 2020, 2021, and 2022, I hiked there on the Kungsleden, Padjelantaleden, and Nordkalottleden trails, all located north of Hemavan.

This time, I will be hiking south on a relatively new trail called Lapplandsleden. My first flight today takes me to Stockholm, the second to Lycksele, and the last flight to my starting point, Hemavan.

I will top up my food supplies there and send a resupply package to a small campground 100 km ahead. I plan to spend two nights at the Hemavan Fjällcenter because heavy rain is forecasted for July 31st.
