32,5 hrs journey:
Two trains, two flights, one tram, two busses.
Flying over Colorado. The mountains seem to be in the middle of the desert. I saw desert for 2,5 hrs and patches with snow covered mountains scattered in the desert.

After completing the Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand, I rested at home for about a month and prepared as well as I could for attempting the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT).
As I continue my journey, I have a lot of mixed feelings. A test hike a few days ago revealed that I can only manage 15 to a maximum of 20 km before my feet start hurting too much. The PCT requires walking an average of 32 km per day, if I want to make it to the Canadian border. My feet don’t allow that. Therefore, I'll simply do what is feasible for me.
I am aware that it's possible my feet may completely give out, but regardless, I will at least make an attempt. I will start at Campo, the US/Mexican border, and see what my body allows me to do. If it becomes evident at any point that I can't continue, I will pursue another path, although I have no idea yet what that might be.
