I don’t feel better. I start the antibiotics now.

Water cache at the trailhead:

It is a long and very windy ascent. My pack weighs 17 kg with 8 days of food and 3 l water. The pack is built for max. weight of 13-15 kg. It is very uncomfortable with the weight above 15 kg.

After 25 km there is water. Next water is in 30 km. It is a lot to carry. I walk 10,5 hrs. 2,5 km before the tent site I fall. The ground under my left foot disappears. Something hit my glasses. The left glas of my glasses is on the ground. I can put it into the frame again but it is loose.

Later I ask DD to check the glasses. I can’t because I do not see details if I don’t wear them. He says the frame is broken. He fixes it with some duct tape but says it won’t last long. This is not good. I do not have spare glasses.

It has been a long day hiking and I am very tired when I reach camp at 6 pm. Tomorrow it will be another long day just ascending.
